Fourth Class

 We have been learning all about 'Sound' in Science. We explored how sound travels. We made 'Walkie Talkie's using paper cups and string. We were able to hear our friends and discovered that sound vibrations travelled down the string to allow us to hear the speaker. 

Third class have been learning all about 'Electricity' in Science. The mood was 'electric' and the girls had some 'lightbulb moments.' The girls created a circuit using wires, a battery and a bulb. They created the circuit and the light bulb lit up.  They also explored static electricity. They rubbed their hair with a balloon and created the static electricity which caused their hair to stand on their heads. 

 We have been learning about our skeleton and the names of some of our bones. We made lovely skeleton pictures using cotton buds.

We decorated shamrocks with pictures associated with Lá Fhéile Pádraig. Pictured below are the winners from Ms Burns' Class. 

 Sound We have been learning about sound and hearing in Science. We made some panpipes from straws.

  World Book Day We are delighted with our books from Eason Cavan.

Third Class were busy during Seachtain na Gaeilge. The girls took part in a 'Comórtas Ealaín.' We have lots of artists in our class, but unfortunately there could only be five winners. Congratulations to the winners and well done to all the girls for taking part. Have a look at their wonderful art work!
