Fourth Class

 Happy Christmas and Happy New Year from Third Class. 🎄🎅🤶

We made and painted some Christmas decorations from clay. We painted wooden decorations. They will look lovely on our Christmas trees.

 The girls in Third Class are hoping for some snow this Christmas. As part of their English lesson they thought about all the fun they have in the snow and wrote poems called "Fun in the snow." Have a look at some of their poems below. I think we might have some poets in Third Class 

 We have been busy reading "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by Roald Dahl this term. We earned a golden ticket and got a yummy treat....hot chocolate and marshmallows. It was delicious. 

 Winter/Dream Trees We painted some winter trees. They are inspired by the dream tree in Roald Dahl's "The BFG".

  Advent Snowmen We are counting down the days to Christmas. We made some Snowmen Advent calendars. ⛄

 Cubism We looked at some of the works of Pablo Picasso. He was one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. He is famous for the art movement known as Cubism. We coloured some pictures using Cubism styles.

String Telephones We have been learning about Communication in the past. We designed and made our own string telephones. They worked best when the sting was pulled tightly.  No need for wifi!

New Shop We have been learning about Blanchardstown village in Geography. We designed a new shop front that we think could fit well into the village.

 T-Shirts We designed tourist t-shirts from different places around the world.

Hatching and Shading We studied "The Enraged Musician"  by the artist  William Hogarth. It is an etching and engraving. We used hatching and shading techniques to colour a sound picture.
